Despite working all weekend, I made time to watch Miss America and the Golden Globes, and even though I found both events lacking in the glamour and class of years past, I couldn't help but long for an occasion to dress up. There's nothing like wearing an evening gown to make a girl stand a little straighter and smile a little brighter. While Olivia Wilde's gorgeous Marchesa gown may be out of reach, a girl can still dream. New Year's Resolution #490: Attend a formal event this year!
